Casio Exilim EX-H20G Review

Casio has released this new Casio Exilim EX-H20G camera that boasts of Hybrid GPS and advanced features that you are looking for in a point and shoot camera. Whether you are a hobbyist or a more advanced camera user, this is a good camera to be had.

This is just like all the other cameras you will find around that has dynamic zoom, great picture quality under ideal conditions and straightforward user interface.

However, I must say, this is nt one of the economical cameras that you will get. This is on the mid-price range,and if you’re on a budget, you might not be able to purchase this camera.

You might notice that it is not as slim as the newest models from other leading manufacturers. The integrated Hybrid GPS is kinda hard to conceal so that explains the bulky design of the Exilim.

Add to that the 10x optical zoom which requires some space to include. If you want a thin camera that fits in your pocket, this is not the one you should get but then you’d be missing the solid button layout. The user interface is very easy to get used to even without the help of the user manual.

The zoom toggle is very smooth and there is a record button that you can use to shoot videos immediately.

The 14.1 megapixel sensor gives out image clarity comparable to other leading cameras. And in video shooting mode, you are offered with 720p resolution.

The integrated Hybrid GPS can get you a lock even when you are indoors. It shows you a map of the nearby places even the nearest tourist spots. When taking pictures, your camera makes a record on where exactly you took it. So if you are an explorer, it would be so good to be able to pinpoint the exact location where the pictures are taken. Aside from that, there is a geotagging feature and when you load your shots in iPhoto, the places tab is automatically updated.

What you would expect with a point and shoot camera is given by this Casio Exilim EX-H20G. It has 14.1 MP pictures and 720p movie mode.

This is augmented by the smooth 10x optical zoom and you get wonderful pictures under ideal outdoors conditions.

You might encounter a little problem when you are shooting indoors or on low light conditions. Otherwise, this is a decent camera with a quick response time.

With the Auto mode on, the camera just seems to read your mind when it comes to shooting. You can customize your preferences.

You can also force the Exilim to shoot at ISO 3200, a new innovation on point and shoot cameras. There’s also the Macro mode that is also a real treat.
